Thank you for visiting Printpelican.com. I am personally excited you are here and all of us at Print Pelican would be honored to serve you. When I started this company 26 years ago in Calgary, Alberta, it was challenging and a lot of fun but all this fast moving technology had not started affecting our industry. We operated our business without a computer and of course had no idea what the internet was or where it would take us in the future. Another fact about our humble beginnings, we did not even have a fax machine. It is hard to believe but fax machines did not become common in business until 1987. Technology has had such a wonderful impact on our business and I am excited the internet has given us the opportunity of doing business all over North America and points beyond.
Technology started having an impact on the printing industry in the late 1980’s. In a period of 2 or 3 years the “Mac Computer” completely changed the traditional typesetting industry. As a company we made a commitment to incorporate the best technology as it became available. We developed work flows and were early adaptors of new technology and equipment. Our research into workflow was so advanced that the Canadian government gave us a substantial research and development grant to further this cutting edge technology. Our company has always been highly regarded in the industry and we have been the subject of many articles in Trade Publications and forums. We have always believed you adapt or you disappear and unfortunately thousands of printing companies did disappear.
We have 2 major printing plants, one in Riviera Beach, Florida and one in Toronto, Canada. We have some of the finest equipment and technology available in the printing industry. We are also very proud of our personnel. We have very little staff turnover and all of our personnel are highly trained in their respective areas of expertise. Our plants operate 24/7 and this allows us to be very competitive and responsive to your printing deadlines.
We are also committed to the future. We are always looking at new ways to make our plants more efficient and productive.
